2. Purposes and legal bases of processing

2.1 Contact and quotation form

When you submit the enquiry form we process the data you provide: company name, country, contact person, business email, phone number, customer type, product family, application details, dimensions, pressure, temperature, quantity, requested delivery date and your message. The purpose is to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a quotation. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for general enquiries, our legitimate interest in responding to business contacts (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2.2 File uploads

If you attach a drawing, specification or photograph, the file is transmitted with your enquiry email and is processed only to assess your technical requirement. Please do not upload documents containing personal data that is not necessary for the enquiry.

2.3 Server logs and security

Our hosting provider records standard server log data (IP address, date and time, requested resource, referrer, user agent, response status). This is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2.4 Analytics and tag management

This website uses Google Tag Manager as a container for measurement scripts, and through it Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, which product families generate enquiries, and which sources bring professional visitors. Google Tag Manager itself does not store personal data in cookies; it loads the tags configured in it.

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies on your device and processes a pseudonymous identifier together with technical data such as approximate location derived from a shortened IP address, device type, browser and referring source. IP addresses are shortened before storage and are not used to identify you personally. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising personalisation.

2.5 Marketing measurement

This website uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) to measure the effect of our campaigns and, where relevant, to reach professional audiences with our own content. The pixel sets cookies and transmits event data (page views, form submissions) to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.

2.6 Consent for analytics and marketing

The scripts described in sections 2.4 and 2.5 are only loaded after you have given consent through the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Strictly necessary technologies work without consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — see the Cookie Policy for how.

2.7 Embedded media and third-party services

This website does not embed YouTube or Vimeo players, interactive maps, social media widgets or externally hosted 3D viewers. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; this sets no cookies, but it does transmit your IP address to Google.

3. Recipients and processors

Personal data may be accessible to our hosting provider and email service provider acting as processors under a data processing agreement. Where you have consented to analytics and marketing measurement, data is also processed by Google Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. We do not sell personal data.

4. International transfers

Our own processing takes place within the European Union. Google and Meta may transfer data to the United States; these transfers are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary measures.

5. Retention periods

Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to answer the enquiry and to document the business relationship, and thereafter in accordance with applicable Hungarian accounting and civil-law limitation periods. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted when they are no longer needed, and at the latest within two years. Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics (maximum 14 months for user-level and event-level data). Server logs are retained for the period applied by the hosting provider.

6. Data-subject rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Requests can be sent to info@jaequas.com.

7. Complaint to the supervisory authority

You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság, NAIH), Falk Miksa utca 9-11., H-1055 Budapest, Hungary, or with the supervisory authority of your own country of residence.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the technical setup of the website changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
