Our company has operated since 1992 as a 100% Hungarian-owned family business. We started as a rubber vulcanizing workshop and have deliberately kept that manufacturing competence at the centre of our technical identity.
Where we started
From a vulcanizing workshop to a utility supplier
Our initial main profile was the manufacture of custom vulcanized rubber seals — including stem flange gaskets, rubber feet in special sizes, buffer blocks and certain household rubber products (for example WC plungers).
In production we use exclusively raw materials that meet the physical requirements of the EN 681-1 standard; we hold material with Hungarian drinking-water approval, as well as general chemical-resistant, silicone and pentane-resistant rubber compounds.
Our toolmakers and rubber-curing workshop have repeatedly helped partners operating production lines when the failure of a single special seal put entire machine lines at risk. These seals are often aptly called “the necessary evil”.
On request we also manufacture standard or custom gaskets from cut rubber and asbestos-free sheet — our general working range for cutting is between 3/8″ and DN1200.
Special mention is due to our metal-reinforced flange gaskets (manufactured range DN15 to DN1000), the strainer flange gaskets, which catch debris ahead of water meters, pumps and industrial equipment, and the length-compensating spacers, which bridge and seal around 9 to 103 mm of length correction per side in the DN50 to DN150 range.
Our further solutions include the pipe-penetration rubber elements manufactured for water meter pits and plastic tanks, in the DN25–DN400 size range.
Water meters and beyond
Water-meter trade, repair and certification
Building on our rubber competence, our portfolio expanded over time into water-meter distribution (retail, wholesale and water-utility sectors), as well as the repair and refurbishment of water meters — from DN15 apartment meters all the way to DN400 industrial water meters.
We also undertake water-meter reconditioning for waterworks and, on request, carry out certification in our own laboratory with the involvement of the Budapest Metropolitan Government Office — Metrology and Technical Safety Authority in Hungary, where, in the case of compliance, the Hungarian authorities certify the water meter.
Our portfolio has expanded significantly by now, and we have become a reliable supplier to the water-utility sector. Our products include, among others:
- plastic fire-hose cap couplings and iron connectors (EU standard)
- pipe repair clamps, metal tapping saddles
- water-meter reading sticks
- household rubber goods
- water meter pits (also in custom sizes)
- plastic tanks (with capacities of 30+ m³)

These are working principles, not marketing slogans. If we cannot support a claim with a document or a delivered project, we do not make it.

For more than 30 years we have operated under the same name, at the same site, with the same professional identity. We have not changed sector and we have not changed direction: we build, develop and expand what we started.

Our aim is to provide predictability for our utility, wholesale, contractor and operator partners through continuous stock and a constant supply of spare parts.
3) Manufacturer quality – without compromise
As a manufacturer we produce products that meet real industrial requirements: it must not happen that systems have to be dismantled because of a poor-quality seal. Wherever possible, we manufacture the critical rubber components ourselves.

Whether it is a seal, a tapping saddle or a pipe repair clamp, the quality of our products is backed by several decades of industrial practice, customer feedback and continuous development.

The vast majority of our products come from European manufacturing or are made in our own plant, so we provide our partners with stable, predictable supply.

From rubber manufacturing to a broader utility portfolio
The original focus was custom vulcanized rubber seals and technical rubber parts. Over time, customer needs expanded our activity into water meters, meter repair, water-utility components, plastic meter pits, custom tanks, pipeline repair products and related technical solutions.
What has not changed is the practical approach: we prefer to solve the installation or maintenance problem, not simply sell the nearest catalogue item.
Our tooling and vulcanizing workshop has repeatedly helped industrial partners reproduce special seals and rubber parts when a failed component threatened the operation of a larger machine or production line. This custom-manufacturing mindset remains an important part of JAEQUAS today.
Building on this competence, the company expanded into water-meter distribution, meter repair, utility components and fabricated plastic structures. The result is a portfolio that combines our own production with selected products supplied through long-term technical partnerships.
