A tapping saddle offers a practical way to create a new connection on an existing pipeline without dismantling the complete system. Accurate work, the right size selection and correct installation are what make the connection perform over the long term.
Tapping saddles are most often used to form new service branches — garden taps, irrigation systems, storage tanks and similar network extensions. The cast body carries a rubber sealing element that we vulcanize ourselves, which is what provides long-term watertightness.
Correct selection requires the exact pipe outside diameter, the pipe material, the wall thickness, the operating pressure and the branch size.

Tapping saddles are made for cast iron, steel and plastic pipelines, and it is the rubber sealing insert that provides the leak-free connection. The design allows accurate drilling and stable fixing while the structural integrity of the pipe is preserved.
The products are available for different nominal diameters and pipe materials, which makes them suitable for potable-water, process and industrial networks alike. During installation the pipe size, the wall thickness and the operating pressure all have to be taken into account, so a short technical discussion before ordering is worthwhile.

Stock sizes and custom straps
For common pipe sizes we aim to hold continuous stock. Where the outside diameter falls outside the standard range, we produce a custom stainless strap for the saddle — and in special situations we will still try to find a workable solution.
